# Capital City Food Fest ## Event Rules & Guidelines for Vendors and Guests --- ## 1. General Event Information * The Capital City Food Fest is a family-friendly public event celebrating food, culture, and community. * All participants (vendors and guests) are expected to follow local laws, health regulations, and event policies. * Event organizers reserve the right to enforce rules and remove anyone not in compliance. --- ## 2. Vendor Guidelines ### 2.1 Registration & Setup * All vendors must be pre-approved and fully registered prior to the event. * Vendors must check in at designated times and set up within assigned spaces only. * Booths must be fully operational at least 30 minutes before the event opens. ### 2.2 Permits & Compliance * Vendors must display all required permits, licenses, and health certifications. * Food vendors must comply with local health department regulations. * Temporary food permits must be available on-site at all times. ### 2.3 Food Safety & Handling * Proper food storage temperatures must be maintained. * Gloves or utensils must be used when handling ready-to-eat food. * Handwashing stations or sanitizer must be accessible at each booth. * No cross-contamination between raw and cooked foods. ### 2.4 Booth Standards * Booths must be clean, organized, and visually presentable. * Trash must be contained and removed regularly. * No loud music or disruptive behavior that interferes with neighboring vendors. ### 2.5 Fire & Equipment Safety * Cooking equipment must be safe, stable, and approved. * Fire extinguishers are required for vendors using open flames or heat sources. * Propane tanks must be secured and inspected. ### 2.6 Sales & Conduct * Prices must be clearly displayed. * Vendors must treat guests and staff respectfully. * No sale of unauthorized items (e.g., alcohol unless permitted). ## 3. Guest Guidelines ### 3.1 Entry & Conduct * Guests must follow all posted rules and staff instructions. * Respectful behavior is required at all times. * Disorderly conduct may result in removal from the event. ### 3.2 Food & Safety * Guests should only consume food from authorized vendors. * Report any safety concerns to event staff immediately. * Be mindful of allergies and dietary restrictions. ### 3.3 Cleanliness * Dispose of trash in designated bins. * Help keep the event space clean and enjoyable for everyone. ### 3.4 Children & Pets * Children must be supervised at all times.
